UPDATE: Tails is a bit under the weather and that is why her recipes and fitness posts have not been updated. A good night’s rest and she’ll be good as new, I hope! While she’s not looking, I posted a probably not-so-healthy dessert on the Recipes page! ?
I wanted to talk to everyone about health and fitness for just a minute. I don’t know about everyone else but I do know that for me, personally, it is a constant struggle.
Who can’t relate to that meme?! In addition to the taco truck it is almost time for the ice cream truck, hot dog carts, and it was recently brought to my attention that somewhere in this wonderful world of ours there is even a margarita truck! Yes, for real!
While I will never be one to avoid treats on occasion, do try to follow what I call an 80/20 rule. If I can eat right 80% of the time, I am happy with that.
I know that I can always use encouragement, a shoulder to cry on when 20% becomes 50% in a particularly bad week and,most importantly, ideas. I love to cook healthy foods, but I refuse to sacrifice taste and almost always try to keep my time in the kitchen as simple and short as possible.
All of this brings me to my point here. I am excited to start posting easy healthy recipes here for everyone! I will be including step-by-step instructions, photos, and some video clips as well. I am hoping this helps some of you a little and would love feedback. The good, the bad, and the ugly. Suggestions, comments, and questions will always be welcome!
In addition to helping bring you ideas in the kitchen, I am going to be starting a short workout of the week post to help get your blood pumping and maybe work off a few of those tacos and margaritas!
I have somehow managed to talk a couple of wonderful people in my world to demonstrate the moves in photographs to be posted along with the workouts. I would do this myself but they just happen to be a little younger and look a little better in workout attire. You’re welcome! 🙂
I hope everyone will be as excited about this as I am. You can look for new recipes every couple of days or so starting tomorrow and workouts will be posted on the weekends to give you a chance to familiarize yourself with them for the coming week.
We only get one go around in this life so let’s try to make it healthy and happy!
