Pickle Stew All-Natural Deodorant – Baking Soda-Free, Aluminum-Free

$8.95

You need this deodorant! This is an organic, paraben-free, phthalate-free, aluminum-free, baking soda-free deodorant that actually works! Baking soda can be a major irritant to the armpits – I found this out the hard way (that means during the testing process!). Aluminum-based compounds are used as the active ingredient in antiperspirants. These compounds form a temporary plug within the sweat duct that stops the flow of sweat to the skin’s surface. Some research suggests that aluminum-based compounds, which are applied frequently and left on the skin near the breast, may be absorbed by the skin and cause estrogen-like effects. Because estrogen has the ability to promote the growth of breast cancer cells, some scientists have suggested that the aluminum-based compounds in antiperspirants may contribute to the development of breast cancer. Antiperspirants KEEP your body from sweating which it needs to do! Some research has focused on parabens, which are preservatives used in some deodorants and antiperspirants that have been shown to mimic the activity of estrogen in the body’s cells. In a 2004 study, parabens were found in 18 of 20 samples of tissue from human breast tumors. Scary, right?!

This deodorant contains the following ingredients: Organic, Cold-pressed coconut oil, Organic Raw, unrefined, Top-Grade GHANA Shea Butter, Sweet Almond Oil, Pure Vitamin E Oil, Food-Grade Diatomaceous Earth, Organic Corn Starch, Pure Beeswax, 100% Pure Essential Oils.

Available with the following EOs: 1) Tea tree essential oil, Sweet Orange Oil, and Lavender Oil (smells wonderful!)
2) Peppermint Essential Oil and Sweet Orange Oil (love the coolness of Peppermint!)
3) Lemongrass Essential Oil and Lavender Essential Oil (the citrus scent is just fun!)

Please note the scent you would like in the notes section!

Of note, if you are new to using organic deodorant, your armpits will most likely undergo a detoxification from all the chemicals in your regular deodorant. It may be in the form of a rash. Many people stop using the organic deodorant thinking it is the cause of the breakout. Your body ridding itself of the toxins is the cause. I advise that you do NOT stop using the new deodorant. The rash will last a few days and, once cleared, your pits will thank you for it!
